Ice

I know exactly where this is! It's not in Stillwater, it's in Houlton, where I used to engage in activities that my parents did not know about. Do we have gear?? I guess we can rent some at VE. Do we have anchoring know how?

I've been ice climbing many times. Mostly at Brick Yards in St Paul but also at Sandstone & Casket Quarry in Duluth. Never been to the Stillwater ice. Brick Yard is close, easy to get to, and has very short - 25-40 foot - climbs. I just checked with REI and they don't rent gear. I have everything the group would need to set up toprope and have done it lots of times. But each climber would need hard shell boots - Alpine ski boots might be OK - and crampons. I have enough ice axes/ice hammers that no one would need to rent one. But you'd probably want to rent some to try them out.
