SMITH ROCK STATE PARK, OR - Two men were rescued after being stranded while rock climbing at Smith Rock State Park Saturday…[they] underestimated the amount of rope they needed to descend the Red Wall. Carlsen was stranded about 250 feet from the bottom and Howard was about 200 feet from the bottom, and was able to call 911.
