Ice Report
Johnny Mac and I ventured to Homer's Odyssey today. The main icicle looked like a melted candle from above, from below it was quite lovely. Sadly some youngsters got there before us so we were confined to the slab. The was some very thin hard ice about 12 inches wide. The ice was hard but the rock was soft. It was dirty and difficult and we climbed a couple of routes, looked longingly at the big icicle and went home. Richard would have climbed that thin ice and loved it. I climbed it too but only because I have the most enthusiastic belayer ever, who is bigger that me, very nice. We will be there first next time.
