Use It Or Lose It

When you find a new climbing area, is it better to keep it secret or tell everyone? Benefits of keeping it to yourself here and the reasons not to here.

This video shows the discovery and development of new climbing areas in the southeastern U.S. My hunch is that keeping it secret won’t work for very long. The best way to ensure long term use is to work with the land owners.
