In the future, when we’re going short distances to VE or nearby crags, we might be using one of these. It even has built-in Facebook capabilities. (Which might be the main reason I wouldn’t want one.)
They didn't get into the mechanical specifications of that wheel-chair. Is it capable of climbing 5.9's? Is there a built-in belay loop? What about avalanche safety? These are questions that most consumers are going to ask!!!
It will only climb to 5.8, there is a belay loop. If you're stuck in an avalanche, you can listen to hot music which may or may not melt the snow, but at least you'll be rockin' when they dig you out.
