Here are two canyons in Zion Park that require a variety of skills to explore: anchor setting, rappelling, aid climbing, swimming, rock climbing, and apparently, dwarf tossing.
“Physical variety is of great benefit in partner climbing and pothole exits. It helps to have one small, lightweight expert climber, and one big strong guy that can toss the dwarf when needed.”
There are 30-40 rappels including a 300 foot overhanging, single-line rappel. Etriers, a bolt kit, sky hooks, talons, wet/dry suits, and several ropes are needed. It’s a gear freaks delight.
